Anya Volz and Anya Taylor joy
Anya Volz was born in Vermont but now resides in New York City. She's received acclaim from men across America for her wit, that they call funny but not preachy. She is a contributing author and creator of content on Riot Fest The Hard Times and Macaulay Culkin's Bunny Ears. The show was featured on BuzzFeed and Vulture in addition to appearing at a number of comedy festivals across the country, like The New York Comedy Festival. She hosts the Best Mistakes podcast with Brooklyn comedian Nika Lombazzo. Half English and half Spanish her parents are Dennis Alan Taylor a former banker and Jennifer Marina Joy a psychologist. Her father is an Argentine from Scottish and English descendance. Her mother is Spanish-English. Taylor-Joy's siblings are four of her father's ex-married partners. They lived throughout Buenos Aires up until Taylor-Joy reached the age of six, then moved to Victoria district in London. Taylor-Joy shared that her move had been traumatic, and she was unable to go back to school in English because she hoped to go back to Argentina. Hill House had to be her new school after she moved from Northlands. Then she attended Queen's Gate School where she was a ballet student and performed in school plays. When she was 16 she quit school to take on a full-time job in acting. Taylor-Joy knew from the beginning that her dream was to be an actress. The opportunity came when Sarah Doukas founder of Storm Management, offered Taylor-Joy a modeling job.
