Aspen Ladd

Aspen Ladd started her combat sports training at the age of fourteen. As well as BJJ classes, she also trained in boxing, wrestling and kickboxing. In the age of 18, Ladd made her first appearance as an amateur in WCFC. Ladd continued to build on her triumph at Ultimate Reno Combat, where she fought three times in a row. She finished all of her opponents in the first round. Then, she returned to WCFC and defeated Leslie Rodriguez by unanimous decision. Aspen beat Silvia Babaeghian and Maddy Simmons before fighting Cynthia Calvillo at WCFC 9. Cynthia beat Aspen and defeated her in a unanimous vote, leaving an ominous mark on her records in her amateur. Ladd bounced back from the defeat, and won Roma Pawelek at Tuff-N-Uff to take her record up to 8-1. Aspen made her professional debut in 2015 and signed with Invicta FC to make her professional debut. She faced Ana Carolina Vidal at Invicta FC 11, where she dominated her in the first round to win a TKO. Invicta took on her in the Bantamweight division and won via armbar submission during the second round. Aspen employed her skills in wrestling to take out McGill with a TKO during the third round (elbows & punches). She next fought Jessica Hoy at Invicta FC 18, which was catchweight(138.1lb) because Ladd missed weight despite this Aspen dominated Hoy and finished her off in the second round with a TKO. Invicta FC 21, she was victorious in her last fight for the promotion with a unanimous decision. Aspen Ladd debuted in the UFC at UFC Fight Night 118, with a bout against Lina Langsberg. She dominated Lina through ground-and-pound and won the TKO round at the end of the 2nd. Her dominance grew and she scored a more impressive win during her next fight against Tonya Evinger at UFC 229 Ladd defeated Evinger in the first round, and was awarded an outstanding performance bonus. Invicta FC, a rematch of UFC Fight Night dos Anjos and Lee She fought Sijara Eubanks for her first significant fight. Ladd was the winner of the night's fight bonus, after both fighters had hard in a tense back and forth battle. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie finished Ladd within 16 seconds of the fight which ended her winning streak. Yana Knitskaya fell by Ladd in the third round of UFC 7 at ESPN. As a last-minute replacement for her UFC match, she faced Norma Dumont during UFC Fight Night 195. It was a loss by unanimous decision.
